Message from Principal - Mr. Perrick Ching

Dear Josephians and friends of SJC,
Rest in peace, Rev. Brother Thomas Favier, my beloved teacher, Principal, Supervisor and friend. Last night, it must be one of the saddest nights to us Josephians. It was all so unexpected and sudden. I was shocked and it was painful. Pictures of Brother Thomas, teaching me English, playing football with us, giving speech at various occasions, chatting with my mom on Open Day, keep floating into my mind. Brother Thomas is the icon of SJC and we will remember him forever. I am not good at writing and perhaps it is better for some others to describe him. The following are the extracts from our QAI report and External School Review Report:
2001
"The Principal was also the Supervisor of the school. He was very knowledgeable about everything that happened in the school and was the main decision-maker. He played a leading role in motivating the staff and students. He was a charismatic, caring, strong and very experienced principal and was well-liked by the students and parents. He was also very proactive and had a mind for change. "
2009
"The Supervisor, who was the former principal, is very approachable and is popular with students and teachers. He serves well as a role model for the students by manifesting his care and love and practising his servant leadership."
