142nd Green and White Day

2017-01-20 09:36:16

The 142nd Anniversary Green and White Day was the most prominent event of 2017 at St. Joseph's College. On 15th January, 2017, St. Joseph's opened its doors and allowed visitors to catch a glimpse of what Josephians had to show for themselves. The Students' Union and its over 40 clubs joined together to make such a massive and elaborate event possible. Interactive games and activities were designed by these clubs to demonstrate to guests their expertise and roles at school. Also on display were speech and musical stage performances, game and talk shows, art and calligraphy, and club stalls. We had the honor to invite our old boy, Mr. Paul Shieh, SC to attend our Opening Ceremony as our Guest of Honor, in which he delivered a meaningful and encouraging speech to all Josephians. The day ended with a live performance of the theme song and emotional speeches from some of the cabinet members of the Students' Union. Together Josephians united and celebrated the 142nd Birthday of St. Joseph's.

Apart from the actual day itself, the day also featured its very own theme song and music video, written and directed by our students. We are very thankful for the help of Mr. Alan Kan in helping us to produce the professional theme song.
